Theme: Light in the Darkness
Day 1 of 30
Day 1 — The Genesising of Light
"And God said, 'Let there be light,' and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness."
The very first recorded sentence spoken by God in the history of the universe was an aggressive command directed at the darkness. Before He ordered the continents, the oceans, or the animals, He established the absolute necessity of light.
Darkness in scripture is rarely just a physical absence of photons; it is a metaphor for chaos, ignorance, and despair. God’s opening statement to humanity is that He is fundamentally opposed to the terrifying void of darkness. When your own life feels chaotic and formless, remember that the God you serve specializes in standing in the middle of absolute darkness and speaking a reality that fundamentally shatters it.
"God's first priority was addressing the darkness. It still is."
Where does your life feel 'formless and void' right now? Invite the Creator to speak His foundational command over that specific darkness today.
The intrusion of light is God's signature move against chaos.
